What is the history of dark-hack?
Dark-Hack was established by canadian spike in the beginning of 2002, canadian spike hosted it on a free server, within the next 6 months a fellow comrade offered to sponsor dark-hack, canadian spike graciously accepted the comrade’s offer but as fate would have it, 2 years of intense work would ultimately be lost following the demise of a great partnership, nonetheless canadian spike was determined to keep his dream alive, he refused to give up, he began again starting from scratch because he believed in the work and the community that supported dark-hack, he explored several hosting companies, experienced administrative turnover and overcame several stumbling blocks he persevered, never giving in to what sometimes seemed like continuous unfortunate events, he refused to let his dream die and remained committed to the good work of helping anyone who called upon him for help, technical expertise, knowledge and friendship, in 2008 he negotiated a desirable business arrangement with downtown host, retrieved his original domain name and designed the streamlined version of the original dark-hack that you see now, our 2009 version of dark-hack is loaded with great features including highly coveted eye candy, great functionality and one of the best teams ever.

What kind of hackers does dark-hack represent?
In the beginning dark-hack served black hat hackers, today’s new and improved version reflects the diversity of the 2002-2008 membership explosions, white hat hacking became the norm during 2008-2009, ultimately today’s dark-hack is dominated by flipped hat hackers, flipped hat hackers are also known as defense security professionals who specialize in information penetration testing to secure highly sensitive networks such as governments, institutions of higher education and major corporations, flipped hat hackers are known for their disdain of spammers, script kiddies, scammers, pretenders and can easily flip back to the dark side when provoked.
